You may have heard this word before or perhaps you are reading this first time.
A buyer persona is the modified name of, “list of your Targeted audience”
You might be wondering, how this term is related to the Facebook ad campaign.
Actually, This is the crucial step to run successful Facebook ads for affiliate marketing. If you failed in making buyer persona, you will end up losing your Facebook ad campaigns.
You don’t need to perform hardcore market research for your targeted niche but you need to know who is your targeted audience, where they live, what they do, and how they are, etc.
You can build a quickly build a buyer persona based on the below-mentioned points
These 5 steps are the essential and basic part of a buyer persona, this list might extend further in different marketing purposes but here only these 5 points are more than enough to run successful Facebook ads for affiliate marketing.
Start brainstorming and note down the imaginary buyer persona.
Let’s take an example to make it easy for you.
Let’s assume you are running an affiliate marketing blog on men’s running shoes,
Now think about your targeted audience….
- Age between 18 – 30
- Working professionals
Once you get the data of your targeted audience you will be able to run an effective Facebook ads for affiliate marketing.
In this way, you will target those people who are most likely to buy the product or service you are promoting.
If you fail in making a buyer persona or you choose the wrong one, you will end up losing the ad campaign, all of your ad budgets are going be wasted in the wrong audience who are not interested in buying the service.
So make sure you create a Good buyer persona and use is affectively in your ad campaign.
Know your goal and time duration of your campaign
Prior to going into running Facebook ads for affiliate marketing, you have to figure out what’s your objective?
What is your target from those Facebook ad campaigns?
Do you want to generate direct sales leads or do you want to build up an ail list of your targeted audience to promote products directly into their mail inbox?
Or do you want to earn profit as soon as you start the campaign? For example, I invested 500 $ in Facebook ads and I earn 1000 $ until my campaign ended.
You have to ask yourself, what is a successful effort for you?
Frequently when you’re getting started, it’s just to collect some information for your next marketing campaign.
But it’s different for each camping.
But, it’s a really important part of advertisements on Facebook.
4. Starting With Laser-Focused Ad Sets
When you are starting out, it is better to start with laser-focused ad sets.
This is so that the users that your ad is being shown to are the users who are the most likely to buy.
Otherwise, you will quickly burn your ad spend and you will often not even get any data that supports any of the ad sets.
You don’t want to waste all your ad-spend on people who might not even opt-in or buy your products, you want to target users that are the most likely to give you profit.
Below are some examples of what I mean by laser-focused.
- Female business owners, aged 25-40, who have children that do not go to public schools.
- Male business owners, aged 35-44, interested in golf & traveling.
- 18-Year-old students, who have just finished high school, that are planning to go to college, who live in the north of the US.
Here I didn’t mention the people under the age of 25 years because the majority of people under 25 rely on pocket money and they don’t have enough money to invest in their favorite products.
Do you see what I mean?
Using laser-targeted ad sets, you will increase the probability of getting leads & sales.
After you have gathered some data, you can then expand.
However, in the beginning, it is important that you do not try to target as many people as possible.
Instead, go for the users that are the most likely to buy your products.
5. Be Clear On the Time of Your Project
Is your project a long term project or a short term project?
You need to be clear about this.
Are you trying to build up an email list or page likes?
These are long term projects and you will need a long term strategy for these goals.
It’s a bit like going to the gym, one day of working out won’t get you where you want to be.
Or are you trying to promote a new product that has just launched and you want to make as much money as possible?
You need to be clear on your goals and know how much time you have.
6. Use an Attention-Grabbing image that is relevant
This is pretty obvious, but I still thought I would mention it.
This goes back to knowing your audience and knowing what grabs their attention.
If you are promoting a health product, you could consider using a colorful image of healthy food or something similar.
Generally speaking, you want an image that will grab the attention of the users that see your ad, but also a picture that is related to what you are advertising.
Otherwise, they will not even notice your ad or keep scrolling once they see it’s something that they are not interested in.
7. Having a Clear Call to Action
Don’t assume that people will read your entire ad, or even that they have the ability to read your entire ad.
You don’t know where they are or what they are doing.
For all you know, they could be waiting for a bus which is about to arrive.
You need to tell them exactly what you want them to do with a clear call to action.
The strategy that I like to use, is similar to the one in the income school example.
For example, you have a free training with a bonus, you then make that really clear in your attention-grabbing image & headline.
Now, you combine this with a clear call to action such as “Join Now” or “Sign Up”.
This will help the user to instantly see what’s being offered and how they can get it.
Doing this is important because as I said, you don’t know where they are or what they are doing.
Combining this with laser-targeted ad sets is great, as it will get as many clicks from those who are interested in what you have to offer.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these tips on how you can run effective Facebook ads for affiliate marketing and how these tips can help you achieve your Facebook ads campaign goals by giving you a boost in your revenue.
Professional affiliate marketers use Facebook ads to run marketing campaigns to attract a targeted audience and get the maximum return on their investment. you can also do that but you have to intelligently set your budget and maximum spending limits daily.
Make sure to choose the optimal goal for your campaign and define the target audience and the promotional marketing category in your campaign carefully, as all these factors determine how much your ad will cost and to whom it will be shown. Be warned, if you pick a particularly in-demand topic and audience, you may be required to raise the bid price to compete.
